Don’t waste you money,
Picture sitting through 3 hours of a junior high school students book report on how people can increase their memory by using tools on the web. Now picture that the student doesn’t speak English, so the report was poorly translated into English using an online automatic translator. I’m not sure if this was or wasn’t originally written in English, but if it was, then it surely never made it to an editors desk, as it contains grammatical errors and sentence fragments. It’s often repetitive from one sentence to the next as if to fill space.
Without quoting directly, an example would be similar to: (memory can be improved by using the multitude of tools on the web. By using these tools on the web, one can improve their memory).
It also slathers in scientific terminology where it isn’t even warranted, as if the writer was a student writing a paper and thought they should include terminology from the textbook to bulk up the content and to make themselves seem smarter to the teacher. Don’t waste your time or money. This audio book literally tells you “go search the internet and you’ll find tools to increase brain function”
I wish someone had written a review similar to this before I wasted my $3.

I found these stories lacking. My sister has the unabridged version and she says they are much better. My advise is to be careful and buy only unabridged versions.

I listened to these CDs on a recent trip and was very pleased. They are well done, hold your interest and are well-spoken. I thoroughly enjoyed them.

|Enjoyed the entire Scarpetta series,
I was hooked on Patricia Cornwell’s “Kay Scarpetta” series from the first one I listened to which was “Blow Fly”- unabridged, (which has remained my first choice or favorite book from out of this series).
With “All that Remains” and “Cruel and Unusual” they were both good, however due to them being abridged in content, I wasn’t as pleased as I have been with her other books and I really wished I had listened to these before I did Blow Fly~ The series just got better and better with each book in the series.
I agree completely with another review that unabridged versions of books really do make a LARGE difference in the overall impact a book can have. I have also found the abridged versions lacking, leaving the impression you missed something. I have found to be the case with all the books I have listened to no matter who the author is.
